In this work I play on the concept of reflections and also passage of time. The most obvious reflection is the sparkle on the water. Another reflection is in the sky itself; a mirror image. Less obvious are the two floating solar orbs; one a temporal reflection into the past. As we gaze to the horizon, we are looking into the past. Things near us are very recent; the sunlight we see is 8 minutes old, while starlight can take thousands of years to reach our eyes. These facts are not fiction, but scientific reality. This work plays on this reality with startling fictional imagery.
